These are my 14 most Instagrammable spots in Paris that I suggest you make a stop at while visiting. Paris, the city of love but also the city of lights. Such a magical destination. It is one of the most photogenic, charismatic, romantic cities in the world. You’d figure this out quickly when you visit.
1. Number one most Instagrammable spots in Paris : La Tour Eiffel, the Iron Lady:
No Paris picture will be complete without this beauty. My favourite viewpoint is from Trocadero. I love sitting at Cafe de l’Homme and watching her. Of course, it’s usually very crowded, so I suggest if you want nice empty photos to go around sunrise. You can also see her from Ecole Militaire. You can have a picnic in front of it at the Champ de Mars (if the weather allows for it), and even from the top of l’Arc de Triomphe.
2. The View from the Arc de Triomphe
Well from there you get to see how perfectly planned Paris is which I love.
3. Saint Germain des Pres
Just a few steps from the Latin Quarter, you will have the chance to discover the Saint Germain area with its beautiful streets and cafes. This trendy neighbourhood has always been the place for the Parisian Intellectual life. It is known for the famous cafes Cafe de Flore (Camus’s favorite spot) and Les Deux Magots (a cafe frequented by Hemingway. Picasso, Dali amongst others.). Saint Germain is located on the Left Bank of the Seine, it’s very close to everything in my opinion (I would stay there is I were you over the Champs Elysees).
4. Latin quarter and Shakeaspear & co
With its narrow streets and it’s gorgeous cafes. But also one of the most famous library in Paris (Shakeaspear & Co) who now have their own cafe which I love.
5. Sacre Coeur and it’s surroundings
What’s not to love there right!
6. The Louvre
Well all of it is magnificent! Even if you are not into history and art, I suggest you visit the inside too! I love it, you would need a couple of days to finish it! Of course my favorite part is their Egyptian Department ! Of course do pass to check out la Mona Lisa.
And for a beautiful view have coffee at Cafe Marly.
7. Musee d’Orsay and it’s big clock
The Musée d’Orsay is a major Parisian museum located in the sixth arrondissement (district) of Paris. It was originally built in 1900 to be a train station but was closed in 1939 when its platforms became too small for the long trains of modern times.
It has a super large collection that I love (including Claude Monet), but is also famous for it’s big clock with a beautiful view of Paris.
8. Palais Royal et les Deux Plateaux
9. The Secret Passages of Paris
Hidden away behind boulevards, avenues, you find those pretty passages. Like Gallerie Vivienne which has been registered as a historical monument in 1974.
10. Rue Cremieux
A pretty street in the 12th arrondissement with colorful private houses. Feels like you are in Notting Hill. This street is a paradise for pictures. While you are there you should also check out the Paris “Highline”. A little of London and New York in one area.
11. Le Bon Marche
My favorite department store in Paris, I prefer it over Galeries Lafayette and Printemps.
12. La Duree & Angelina
A trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without either one. Macarons from La Duree or Hot Chocolate from Angelina, or both!
13. Pont Alexandre III
The Pont Alexandre III is one of the most ornate, extravagant bridge in the city. It’s a deck arch bridge that connects the Champs Elysees area to the Invalides / Tour Eiffel one.
14. Printemps or Galeries Lafayette rooftops
For the best views while having coffee or a glass of wine. Don’t miss it!
And of course all the other lovely spots along the Seine, the Opera, Bir Hakim Bridge and loads of other places! <3 Hope you will enjoy my most instagrammable spots in Paris 🙂
