Amara Bangkok Hotel is a luxurious 4 star hotel perfectly located in the Bang Rak district in Bangkok. Located right on Surawond Road just a 10 minute walk to Silom and Sathorn Road, key shopping and nightlife areas. But also only a 10 minute walk from the BTS Skytrain which can take you almost everywhere.
The hotel is nestled in the center of the historic Bangrak district, you can find everything just around the hotel by going out and taking a left; from spas to the colorful Paptong Night Market. Also the hotel is in a location that’s very accessible to everything around.
They offer 250 guestrooms with modern furniture and luxurious bathrooms (equipped with Roberto Cavalli amenities). All rooms offer a smart TV, free local calls, free WiFi Internet access and free Press Reader (digital publications and newspapers).
So, the check in was very smooth, they gave us a Club Room which is AMAZING. The room itself is great with a bathtub on the skyline view. A very comfortable bed, floor to ceiling windows, it’s a big room; with a 42 inch flat screen TV. This kind of room offers you great privileges. Everything in the Mini Bar was complimentary and you get two items of laundry for free everyday. I recommend you pay a little extra and book the Club Room for the added benefits.
In addition to that, one thing I found incredible is that right next to the reception, they have a Mini bar boutique which is open 24 hours. You can get anything you’d like for your room consumption at convenience store rates rather than hotel prices! How amazing is that?! More hotels should have this!
Not only that, but you get an access to the Club Lounge on the 20th floor. Breakfast is also served there if you don’t want the crowds if the hotel is crowded. You could have breakfast there with a beautiful view over Bangkok. And from 5pm to 7pm they offer complimentary, wine and beer and snacks (with a beautiful view!).
Also, I loved the floor to ceilings windows in the room and the free standing bath tub with the incredible view. A marvelous view on Bangkok.
There are two restaurants at this hotel, one on the basement (Elements) where the main breakfast is served and the second one on the 22nd floor with a stunning view.
Finally, let’s talk about the infinity pool shall we? Amara Bangkok’s rooftop is equipped with an infinity pool with a beautiful view on the skyline of Bangkok. Watching sunset from there is an amazing experience!
Location of Amara Bangkok:
As I mentioned earlier the hotel is very well located. Here are some timings so you can see for yourself:
- 15 minutes drive to China Town
- around 30 minutes drive to Suvarnabhumi Airport
- 5 minutes walk to Patpong market
- 10 minutes walk to Chong Nonsi and Sala Daeng BTS stations
To conclude, I would like to thank Amara Bangkok; the amazing staff for this fabulous stay! In addition I would like to extend my gratitude to the concierge who was extremely helpful with planning my day trip to the floating market and railway market by booking in advance transportation and giving me tips.
I’ll definitely be back on my next visit to Bangkok!
