Here we are, at the Four Seasons Koh Samui. A hotel that represents Thailand at its best. The resort is located at the Laem Yai Bay, one of the prettiest spots on the island of Koh Samui.
Set on 42 lushy landscape acres; on a tropical, palm tree covered cliff, the Four Seasons is the place to stay for a relaxed holiday.
Checking in at the Four Seasons Koh Samui
Each arrival is marked with the sounding of a traditional gong, followed by the opening of massive doors. Behind these doors, you get to see beautiful world where the hotel is set. A breathtaking view of the property and the mystical Gulf of Siam.
Indeed the check in desk is very island like and beautiful. A desk in the middle of the lush on top of the cliff, with a fantastic view over the Gulf of Siam. I don’t need of course to mention the fantastic service.
As mentioned before the property is set on 42 acres, which means that you will need a buggy to get you anywhere, which is available from the hotel. All you got to do is call and your buggy will be there to take you anywhere you want in the property.
So off we go to the room <3
The Rooms at the Four Seasons Koh Samui
Every villa at the Four Seasons has its own private pool along with a spacious wooden deck, daybed, marble table and two chairs in the shade, and two sun lounges.
The villas are spacious, with a beautiful modern decor, and luxury amenities of course.
Ceiling-to-floor sliding doors open to reveal a beautiful double bed.
If you’ve ever been in a Four Seasons you’d know how magical their beds are! Never slept better than in a Four Seasons bed. I don’t know what it is about it, but you just get the feeling that you are being transported into a world of dreams.
Of course, color schemes of turquoise blue or sea foam green complement the villas’ contemporary, southern Thai-style interiors.
Also, the dressing room is made for His and Hers. But what really took my breath away in this room was the bathroom.
As expected, all bathrooms are equipped like a spa with doors that open to the outside pool area. The cherry on top was the location of the bath tub located right by the window with an undisrupted view of peace and calm.
What makes the difference between one villa or the other is the size of the villa and the size of its pool.
Tip: Ask for a room located at the top of the hill (for the view) and with a lot of sunlight on the terrace. Some villas are tucked away in the jungle with little sunlight.

And finally the most recent one is the CocoRum Restaurant and Bar. Set by the pool it offers a different kind of night every night ; so Monday you’d have Barbecue Night; Wednesday “Noche Latina”. A themed night almost every night.
What’s extra special about this Four Seasons is that CoCoRum houses Asia’s first Rum Vault – a meticulously curated library of more than a 100 of the most-coveted rums, and a must-see on any visit to Koh Samui.
We were invited to a Rum tasting with their Rum expert – Samart Khethong. It’s Asia’s first and only library of rums from across the world and the evening itself is such a wonderful one!
